There are actually two different roll on grips a Suregrip which is smooth faced and a Posigrip which has a rough surface.

I have used both and seem to go with the Posigrip because of the stippling. It just fells better in my hand.

I put one on my Lil Hoots recurve. I bought the smooth one.

Fits well and keeps the bow from slipping. Worth the money for me.

I use the Shur-Grip on my Martin Savannah and like it.  Followed the installation instructions on the Three Rivers site, and it went fine.  Installation wasn't easy, but not that difficult.  Have used it for about 3 years now.  My 2 cents.

If the recurve has a smaller riser it will work fine. I have them on a couple of different bows.

Ive used on all my longbows.
My Savannah wears one now.
Not as pretty as a laced leather grip, but very effective.
Plus they dont asorb sweat and stay "grippy" forever.
IMO they are great

Yes, but the larger the riser the more difficult it is. Even a larger riser can be done in 10 minutes... I use the smooth rubber on my bows until I found out about beaver tail grips.

I like the shur-grip on a longbow riser, but do not like it for my recurves as it is too "grippy" and tends to grab the riser when shooting with a light grip and affects my consistency and accuracy.  With a longbow that is gripped tighter, it does seem to work well though.

Liked the feel, didn't like the black residue left on my hand after shooting, beaver tail is much better for me

Had shur grips and switched to bicycle inner tubes. A little thinner and cheap! One 4$tube gives you about 7 grips.

I have them on all my longbows and love them. I would never put one on my recurves though. A recurve seems to kinda slide into position as I draw it back, a rubber grip would hinder this.

I do the same. Have been using bike tubes for the last 10 years and they hold up great, dont cost much, and you can get different sizes to better fit your bow.
Just buy the tube, cut it to size, wash the inside out (has powder in them) and roll it on.

Tried to put one on my pch and it didn't go on. Any secret to getting them on a widow recurve?
