I got one on my Brackenbury take down. First, take the lower limb off so you have less to stretch over. Roll the grip into a doughnut and tug it on with pliers. Be careful so you don't rip a hole in it.

Once in place I carefully trimmed the grip with a sharp knife. Just lightly score around the grip without cutting through. You should be able to pull off the excess.
