does anyone know why Martin stopped making the Serengeti? I think these bows were made for only a few years. I picked one up this weekend and it is a very smooth drawing hard hitting bow. Just wondering if anyone knows why they stopped making them?

I came close to ordering one when they first came out based upon looks alone.  It was sure a handsome bow, but it was gone from the catalog soon thereafter.  This was at a time when Martin had quite a lineup of great trad bows, so it probably never sold like the more popular and well-known models.

I never read any negative reports on the bow and
I think you're lucky to find a used one since they must be very few around.

I used to have one and thought it was a sweet bow. As the recurve companion to the savannah you would have thought it would be more popular. The only thing I can think of is that the hunter and dreamcatcher models filled that 60ish amo need so they dropped this one.
