Rogue by Liberty? Info anyone?
« on: September 20, 2007, 05:56:00 AM »
I just won a Liberty Rogue on the auction site.  It's 66" 50@28.  I am addicted, I know.  I saw this bow with Myrtle limbs and just had to have it.  I have searched all the info I could find, and didn't find much on this particular model.  All the info available leads me to believe Liberty is a sleeper bow maker.  Nothing but positive feedback, but a bowyer I wasn't familiar with.  Anyone out there that can shed some light on this particular model and how it compares to the current models that Allen Boice builds?  I am awaiting an e-mail response from Allen now.  Thanks in advance.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

Allen builds fantastic bows.  The Rogue is a model he doesn't build any more.  As I recall from talking with allen its very similar to his Condtender model.  I shoot a Chief that has a bit more reflex/deflex the the rogue.  All great bows though.  Enjoy it. =)

If the Rogue is anything like the Contender model you'll be pleased.  I have a 54#, 66" Contender takedown and its pleasant to shoot, sharp looking and very well finished.  The mild R/D gives the limb profile a rounded look.  Nice bow.
