NC Hunting Spot
« on: April 13, 2014, 02:14:00 PM »
I need a new NC deer hunting spot. I lost the one I have been hunting in for the last few years.

The land owner of the woods I have been hunting decided to have it clear cut as a way to get some income out of the land. I was the only trad bow hunter on the land for the last several years, but now it is just 150 acres of stumps surrounded by pasture land.

So, I am looking for a place to hunt deer within about an hour or so drive of my home in Clemmons, NC -- Clemmons is very near  Winston-Salem.

If any of the NC trad brothers out there want an old trad guy to share a piece of land with, let me know. I can certainly work on the land with you, share food plot expenses and so forth. In other words, I'll earn your trust and good will in letting me hunt.

Just PM me here and I will send you all of my contact information and we can communicate.

Thanks so much for considering this,
Joe

If you look in Ashe or Alleghany county, I would like to lease some property. I have a 4 wheel tractor, power tiller, disc, and cultipacker for plots. Many gun hunters look for leases in Ashe County. I will ask around.

Thanks, Charlie. I have found a place to hunt about 6 hours drive away. That's good for a long weekend a couple of times each season. But I do need something that is close to home so I don't always have to make a long drive. I'll keep the search going.

Joe,

You're welcome down my way. I have access to 20 acres that is a haven for ticks and chiggers. Just went there yeaterday and one got me. It's at least something. I'm right at Uwharrie's door as well.
