Bows with quiver studs

How many shoot them? How do you like these types of quivers vs a strap on quiver? Anything specific i should take note of?

I assume you are referring to the inserts for mounting a quiver such as Bear puts in most of their recurves.....I like them a lot--better than a strap on.

Same here. I've trimmed down to just 2 bows and both have 'em. I really like the Selway side mount 2-pc quivers.

I prefer them.  I don't like to have anything on my limbs.

Pretty sure both Gene and Barry prefer them so that they can easily remove the arrows/quiver while on stand.  I like the arrows on the bow for quick follow up and stability of the bow but everyone's mileage varies.

If you have any DIY skills at all adding quiver inserts is a very easy project.

I prefer bow quivers mounted at the limb bolts or inserts mounted on the side of the riser.  Absolutely solid and noise free.

I've thought the same thing but couldn't bring myself to drill holes in a 1000.00 or more bow! What if?

It really is fairly fool proof.  Make sure to lay it out in the right spot on the riser. Get the holes lined up square or the angle you want for the quiver.  Pick the right size sharp drill bit,  and use tape to prevent tear out.  Use a drill press with depth stop.  Good two part epoxy to install,  and bingo.  Easy cheesy.     :D    

Then again, I've sure seen plenty of examples of inserts installed on old bows that missed one of more of those steps.

The thing tht scares me is I don't have a drill press. Hmmm

Just about impossible to get the holes (and thus the inserts) in straight without a drill press. Time to look for a buddy/acquaintance with a drill press.
