Of all the bows I tried at ETAR last year, the Silvertip is the one that really stood out for me. second was a BW and third was a Bob Lee. I'd love to own a Silvertip but no one parts with them and the waiting list appears to be very long. What a grip!

Don't own a tip yet but recently acquired a longbow with actionwood core in the limbs. The longbow shoots a heavy arrow like nothing I've seen before.  How much do y'all think the an actionwood limb core contributes to the fine shooting ability of a tip?

Paul Schafer is the reason the bows are so special in my opinion. As a world class hunter he knew what a bow should and shouldn't do in the field. The bows design and shooting characteristics reflect that.

Fortunately for us, Dave (and Beth) also understand that and have continued w/ the tradition in an outstanding way

Hey Keith,  Why don't you send him the nice new one you got coming? I know it's a little "plain jane" but it's better than nothing...        :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:

The thing that I love the most about Silvertips, is that they don't stack, even at my 31.5" draw! Smooth all the way back!

Plus, Dave and Beth bend over backwards to work with you!

I had a 46# and 48# Schafer recurve for trade at different times but no takers... thankfully.

I'm bringing this thread back up because I can't get the thought of one out of my head!!!    :banghead:    I'm really kicking around ordering one, or looking for the right one in the classifieds.  I was doing some of my "hunting inventory" and I have enough stuff that I don't use, that can fund a new one! With a Silvertip, I'll have my dream team of 3 bows!

The grip for starters fits my paw perfectly. Followed by exact weight in the riser and limb design give the archer the best chance  of "the shot" even when the shot sequence isn't where it should be. Plus, Dave and Beth are damn good people to work with.
I ordered my 2nd Silvertip shortly after receiving my NEW Silvertip in May of this year.

I do have to admit, the a one piece Silvertip stole my heart away cleanly and.  I have owned and shot a lot of recurves and longbows over 45+ years.  This bow does stand out clearly above the rest, for me personally.  Perhaps it's the pedigree that goes goes back to the Paul Schafer/Bob Savage days and it's association with the Deathmaster, another bow that stands out to me.  I never owned one but had the opportunity to shoot one many years ago and it was very fast AND forgiving.  All my other bows have been collecting dust since I got my Silvertip.
