I like the Whippenstick Pheonix 3 PC or Inferno 2 PC.Morrison MAX 1 or 2 limbs and Border HEX 5,HEX 6 or HEX 7.Black Douglas or thier ILF bow.
I think Morrisons new MAX 1 curve limbs are superb as I shot a friends of mine recently with foam and carbon. That was an ILF bow.He makes the MAX 1s for the Cheyenne deflexed riser and more straight Shawnee riser as well. The ILF can be something to consider for the poundage adjustments and multipe choices of limbs available for from all sorts of makers.Border also makes a great ILF limb in HEX 5,6 or the newest HEX 7s.
I dont care what some folks say about Border.Thier flat out fast and super smooth drawing and smooth shooting. No one bow is the bow for everybody. You will have loyalists including me to certain models.
I have had many other bows that are superb performers other than the ones I listed.I happen to think those 3 stand out off the top of my head.
Lots of bowyers to choose from that will meet your criteria of high performance.
I am sure any bow listed here on this thread is excellant. You will want to find one that fits you well though personally. With the perfect grip for you and for whatever reason you just shoot it naturally.
Thier are bows with slightly less performance as far as feet per second that may suit you better than a screamer possibly.
Its nice to have a model with the versatility of different limb lengths incase you want to have a shorter brush/blind type bow and also a longer lighter poundage possibly for easy shooting, form practice and 3-D or just better accuracy for punching targets. That longer bow can obviously be used for hunting as well.
I admit though that it is nice to have all the punch you can get with a bow that shoots well and easily for you though and fits you right.
Thiers alot of things to consider before you finally decide to lay your hard earned cash down for a custom bow
It would be good to go to a traditional event like Comptoms in MI in June, the Traditional Expo in MI in January,Denton Hill PA.or Cloverdale IN in June to try the many bows on display by Bowyers or also other archers that will often let you shoot the bow they are carrying around in the tryout areas.
Good luck!
