Seal fur rest
« on: April 27, 2014, 07:07:00 PM »
I managed to locate some seal fur, in the form of a little fur seal toy.  I plan to dismantle it in order to use it as a shelf rest.
How long should the fur be cropped to?

No real need to trim it at all...part of the appeal of sealskin is how durable and slippery the hair is

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I just put it on as is with the fur laying in the direction of arrow travel when shot.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

Your going to love it.  Use it with the hair full length, growing in the direction away from you (how the arrow is shot).  It's dead silent and actually showed a slight increase in speed (a whopping 1fps average) for me.
