should I be worried?

2 years ago I recieved my new custom recurve that I had waited almost 2 years to get, a few days after getting the bow I was putting on some string silencers when I noticed that the string was not centered in the string groove on the upper limb.  The bow shots great and fits me like a glove, I am more than pleased with the bow.  I shoot daily and have had no problems, but I can't help but wonder if I should be worried?  I hate the thought of sending the bow back and waiting who knows how long, I don't want to mention the bowyer since I still think he is the best out there..what do you guys think? continue to shoot the bow or do I need to get this corrected?  will it eventually cause the bow to fail?  thanks in advance for any thoughts

I would contact the bowyer and discuss the problem with him.

If it hasn't changed in two years, it's not likely to get worse. Just depends on how bad it is, but doesn't hurt to discuss this with the bowyer.

If it's just off slightly, it's likely that can be fixed in just a few seconds by twisting the limb slightly in the opposite direction...repeadedly over time until it takes a new set.

It is common for this to happen to recurves while being strung...any or all of them.

Like Jim said, it's a small problem that can be fixed via hand twisting.

After that I'd suggest analyzing your stringing technique as that is the most common place that limb twisting occurs.

just wanted to thank big Jim and the rest of you guys, the twist is now fixed good as new, feel kinda silly now that it was so easy to fix
