What was your cost for the initial app and what do you expect to pay for the overall hunt?

I am a Wyoming resident so my cost for the license was $112!  Its a preferenc point system and I believe I had 19 points, or 19 years, of putting in before I drew.

Overall cost is minimal.  I can be hunting in about 15 mintues from my house.  I got horses, backpacks, and good boots so other than my optimistic taxidermy bill no other real cost.

I like my current bow/arrow setup but just for sake of convesation anybody recommend an arrow and broadhead setup for either #51 or #54 3 pc longbow?  Like mentioned earlier I shoot axis 400 at 29.5 inches, 100 grain insert, and 150 grain magnus stinger.

Thanks

Congrats!  I am partial to Simmons 2 blade heads after using magnus for years.  I just get much better penetration and better blood trails.  Good Luck! My dream hunt is a moose hunt - anywhere.
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Caribow Tuktu ET 53# @ 27 Inches
Thunderhorn takedown longbow 55# @ 27

I have a 56@28 Pronghorn.  I shoot a narrow almos identical to yours out of it with a 125 stinger. The second video was a BOW member with a 53lbs pronghorn and victory shaft with a 150 stinger at 30" with 100 grain insert.

I've taken 3 bulls in the last three years shooting a 55# Caribow recurve with 580 grn and 630 grn arrows with VPA 3 blades on the front. The first bull I shot at 15 yards and got a complete pass through. My second bull was a big mature bull and I got an exit hole and the third bull was the biggest bodied of the three. The arrow lodged in his off shoulder. He only ran 20 yards. First two bulls ran 50 yards and 60 yards respectively.

James, I killed the moose in my avatar(about 1000# worth) with a 54# LB, 750 gr.carbon arrow, and Zwickey No Mercy SB. For what it's worth, I think you'll be fine using a heavy arrow and 2 bld. head. Good luck and hope to read about your hunt down the road. Todd

Wow! Congrats guys!

I can't offer any advice on equipment, but wanted to wish you luck.

I'd be excited too, to say the least. If I could pick any one animal to hunt it would be moose. I doubt it will ever be possible, but how sweet it would be.   :campfire:

It took a resident 19 yrs to draw a tag! That just boggles my mind!

Good luck on your hunt!
