Mickey,

Guess that's why you are the expert.  I've been stewing all day trying to figure out how to "southern engineer" a cheap, easy spine tester.  That will work like a charm.  Thanks!!

Shawnee,
Just ran across your thread, looks great!! I'm a Native Okie, making a living in Mississippi. I'm doing the same thing this year also. I have the bow built, need to finish the cane arrows and get some heads knapped. I finally found a source for stone a couple weeks back. Bow season opens monday but I'm not ready. I have until the end of January to get it done.

Good Luck!!!!

MS doesn't have the same laws as OK, on bow weight and stone points.
Dustin

Thanks Dustin, and good luck with your hunting this year, too.

I'm slowing getting the arrow flight stuff worked out.  Just not getting as much free time to work on it as I would like.  I'm the same way as you...our season opens Monday, but with it this warm, I'm in no hurry.  I won't hunt with my setup until I get everything flying right.
Well, who'da thunk it!

Shawnee...beautiful set of gear.    Hope you get the bugs worked out and achieve your goals.   I had a first this year with a stone point that I knapped myself, as well.   A real sense of satisfaction for a hunter, when his gear validates the work he puts into it by taking game cleanly.  Good luck.
