Bow fishing with my boy
« on: May 12, 2014, 10:28:00 AM »
After killing his first turkey with "another" weapon last week, my son was pumped to get a little bowfishing in here locally. He made some good shots but no dice on many...

*Concentration

Finally he made a good shot with his longbow made by a friend. We are in training for his first hog hunt next spring. He's getting closer!

*Full draw

*Good one

He's 11 and is beginning this journey. We have sat blinds and killed turkeys and deer together. I am looking forward to the day when he stands over his first whitetail with his dad.

Awesome! Nothing is as much fun as summer time bowfishing. now that he is "hooked" looks like it might be time for a left handed reel on that bow instead of the upside down right hander...lol
I had to shoot that way once last year when my left handed retriver broke. no one stocked a lefty so i had to order one and while waiting for it to get here I used my daughters righty upside down the same way.

Only another lefty would notice that  :)  You guys are thick as thieves! I plan on getting him a recurve with a little wider limb and a lefty rig very soon. Thanks for noticing. My southpaw appreciates it!
