I don't,there are bears around and they some tines climb in the stand and have destroyed my seat cushions. There are red squirrels as well and they like to chew on wood and string.

I have done that many times. The way I hunt I usually find a spot in the early afternoon, hunt it evening and the next morning, and then find a new spot.

I change my mind more often than my underwear. Never know from one night to the next morning where I might want to sit. Bow comes with me on each trip to and from.

I have left everything else in my ground blind several times; but my bow always goes back to camp with me.
I am most worried about a rat or mouse chewing on the string and coming back to find it broken.

I have been known to leave my personal belongings at a friends house that I was hunting with so that I "have" to go back and get them, and usually that ends up with another invite to go hunting! I haven't thought about leaving my bow hanging in the tree
It would have to be a good spot!

If there are bears in your woods, don't even think about it. A friend of mine had durn near everything he left, including his stand, chewed on one night.
