Call any time, lol. That is part of the excitement of these "away" hunts. I am getting pumped as we finalize the massive packing list. You can only imagine the mountain of supplies for a remote bear camp. My heart pounds when I think about getting back to bear camp...

Jerry I see that you guys are on lakes, do you fish much?  Also do you use boats to get to your bait sites?

There are over 400 lakes within the reserve but with a great road system there is no need to use boats. It is a neat way to hunt for sure but it makes daily baiting a nightmare.

There is very good fishing on the lakes and rivers but to be honest, we work so hard that I never get a chance to fish. Most of the hunters will do some fishing after taking their bear.

Just bring a light tackle spinning rod with 6-8 pound test. There are more lakes and river miles than you could fish in a lifetime.

I'll be bringing my fly & Tenkara gear!
