Favorite Back Quivers?
« on: May 17, 2014, 10:10:00 AM »
Well I have to spring for a new Back Quiver. Which one do you Good Folks have on your back? I guess mostly for 3-D. Maybe Hunting now and again.

Howard Hill soft quivers are good, no break in time required.

This one is by BOGGs leather. Fabulous looking and great craftsmanship. I like the oval shape to it because in does not stick too far out away from your back.

I'm a fan of Bud's work.  He does this for us and more importantly, for the kids of St. Jude's.  Bravo my friend.

If you're gonna use it hunting then I would suggest David Creger. Soft leather to conform to your back and trap the arrows. Skipper approved lol.

For 3D's I like a basket quiver.  I got my from Sue Dwyer, she makes a nice basic quality backquiver and then I dressed it up a bit with some beaver fur and a couple of other items, its my go to daily bucket to carry arrows.  Use other quivers for hunting.

I have a Howard Hill with the stiffer leather and it is breaking in nicely. I even hunted with it last fall.

Another vote for Bud's ST Jude quiver... The quiver comes with some special mojo that you can't find anywhere else.

I have a Hill and I just picked up a Schulz American Leathers back quiver at the Baltimore shoot swap meet this weekend. It's a bit heavier than my Hill and I shot all day with it yesterday and it seemed to work out great

You can't go wrong with our own MikeG!!!

I have one of his original large Hunter quivers and just talked him out of his personal "American" style quiver (I'm trying to convince myself to feel bad about that, but I can't do it...the quiver is already broken in and works GREAT!!!)...

If you look close at the second picture, you can see the back pocket quiver Mike makes (that I forgot to take out before the shoot) and the leather water bottle carrier he offers. My wife liked mine so much, we picked one up from Mike at the last shoot we were at and ended up buying a hip quiver too!  His quality is fantastic and everything is hand made here in the USA by a Veteran and long time TGang Member!

Give him a call... he'll set you up with what you need!
