I have a Javaman on order also for 1-15 timeframe so don't have a pic but from other bows Cocobolo looks great with a ebony flare in it. Also Cocobolo looks great with grey/charcoal Actionwood/Dymondwood flare. I look at other bowyers websites and brochures to see wood combo sometimes for comparison?

I just received a fantastic cocobolo and curly Koa Elkheart from Gregg last month. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. I've been meaning to take and post some pics, but I've been too busy lately. If the sun pokes out tomarrow before I have to go to work, I'll take a few and get them posted. Stay tuned!

can't wait to see those pictures! I believe I may even go the 60 inch version when she calls a falcon.... I like dark risers hence the Makassar ebony..... accent it with cocobolo and maybe bacote lams on the limbs. Getting anxious.....!!!! thanks for the reverb guys...!!

I would still love to see more pics and I am sure you do also.
Jackdraw I had same concern about getting a bow to short since not that familiar with them. I wanted the Elkheart but thought about going with the Falcon also because its longer and Greg said maybe a little more forgiving. My draw 28.5" and I am a 6'1" guy.
Pheonixarcher, flyne, Biathlonman do you have any feedback on the shorter lengths and the pros and cons of it compared to say a 60" bow? 54 to 56 sure seems short to me? Why did you choose the lengths you chose??
Thank you!

I went with the 56" because I hunt some real tight bush and the shorter length dosnt seem to get hung up as much I don't find any finger pinch or stacking at 29" with one of my mates shrew that Gregg built I have a 58" shrew as well and don't find much of a diffrence between the two and AL hear is a link for you

Yes, been on his site many time and familiar with his line up of bows. I was just curious about length since never shot one of his shorter lengths. It's reassuring to know you don't experience finger pinch or stacking at your 29" draw. Great bows, thanks.

Terry, it's a bow bolt, best there is as far as I can tell. I've had a 56" and it worked fine at my 29" draw, 58" is even better!

Terry I have a Shrew Classic Hunter and a Hoots longbow both with the bow bolt , that phenolic riser with the bolt connection gives them that little extra mass wieght that feels good in the hand.

Jack, I went with a 54" because I had already gotten to shoot one at the Kalamazoo expo. I was absolutely amazed at the manners of that bow. It shot as though it was a 58" bow, and was very smooth and faster than I expected. The Elkheart is a truely exceptional design!
