About a month ago I received a Cheyenne that I purchased from a fellow ganger, and wow what a bow. Bob sure does know how to build them.
The bows spec are: 58" 58#@28". The handle is koa, and the limbs are carbon foam with bacote veneers.
I had been in the market to try something new and had always heard great things about Bob's bows, but was honestly leaning more towards a Zipper or Tall tines. However I saw this gem pop up on the classified and knew that I had to give it a go.
The mass weight of this bow is really nice. I was concerned that with the Cheyenne slim profile and with foam limbs it would be a little light, but with a GN quiver and some 600 grain arrows, it really feels great and balances perfect.
The grip fits me like a glove. It is cut fairly low which is right up my alley. This was the first thing that I noticed when I pulled it out of the box and loved it. However my next move will be to send it off to to Schafer to get it checkered as I have really been turned on to this recently.
I have shot quite a few different bows in my day, but have not found one yet that points as natural as this, and that I can group quite as well with in the first day of shooting. The ganger that I bought this from made up a new 8190 string for me, which has been a great string even though I am used to SBD's. I added bow hush and puppies to it and it is the quietest recurve that I have owned, and still is able to really zip my heavy arrows. I have not been able to chrono it yet but think I will be pleasantly surprised.
All in all I am now a firm believer in Bob's bows and would recommend them to anyone. I plan on this being my sole hunting bow this fall and feel confident that it will put a hurtin on some critters.
Thanks Mike "Gottabow" for a fine bow and being such a great guy to do business with.
