Tag in hand.  Its for real and no longer surreal!  Finished my first 70.3 ironman last Saturday, with two more triathlons, a half and a full marathon to go, I should be in decent shape... at least half as good as the goats!

This is a serious question and I don't want you to think I am being a smart alek,...

In that training regiment, after you have already done a number of triathalons and full marathons, what good does a HALF marathon do you?

What a dream hunt!  Hope to read some great stories this fall from every one of you Trad goat hunters.  Mountain goats are one of those animals that have been a dream of mine but as I age the chances of it ever happening are slipping away.  I'll follow yours as if I am in your boots!

Here in BC we can buy those over the counter and go hunting.......tag cost $40......just had to rub that in a bit   :p
Congrats on the tag......I hope you arrow a big, shaggy, off-white  monster with a single, perfectly placed arrow, on the last day of the hunt, after numerous stalking opportunities. In other words, I hope you make the most of it
Nothing at all quite like hunting the high country.   :campfire:

Good question.  Training is training.  At my current speed and weight I burn about 1000 calories per 6 miles of running, and the lighter I am the easier it will be to climb those peaks.  Its really all in good fun for me, I have been running and tri'ing for the last year and really have enjoyed pushing and challenging myself.
