No special tags yet Shane. Hoping to draw mountain goat soon. Heading to Alaska for a float hunt for rutting moose. Getting my raft practice in I guess...

Really pretty Bear bud. One of the coolest chest patches I've seen. Sounds like you worked your butt off for him. Congrats

Congrats! Those are the kinds of adventure are what makes a trip burn bright in our memory.

The elk I use as my avatar I killed on top of a mesa in NM (the only flat place I ever hunted elk in) but it took a 2 hour sure-enough four wheel drive slow crawl ride over rocks thru terrain we called Jurassic Park because it was such crazy country to try to drive through.

It was flat on top when we got there but crisscrossed with dry washes and steep drop offs all around the edge- the bull naturally ran down one of those when shot and landed in a tangled gnarly juniper patch.

We had to use chain saw to get to him and get him out to where we could load him up...

Your adventure sounds tenfold more exciting! What a cool looking blaze! I bet you won't forget that experience ever!!!

That bear looks awful impressive...I'd get him mounted just like he is in that trail cam pic.

Do you have any measurements on him yet?  Hide, pads, skull?

I'm pretty scared of the dark, I usually have   at least   two light sources and extra batteries on me at all times    :D

Great bear, how big do you think he is.  What part of Idaho are you hunting in?  My brother and I hunt in the panhandle..

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
