need options on low budget LH longbow
«

I've made several board bows and even got a really nice self bow from the bow swap a couple of years ago and was able to take a nice doe with it.
I was perfectly fine shooting only homemade bows until I held a bear Montana at cabelas the other day. My question is what are some other bows around the price of the Montana new or used that would be a good first bow?

It might be worth it for you to become a contributor and go to the classifieds. There's a left handed Thunderchild on there right now for $450. That deal would be hard to be for such a sought after bow.

If I was a lefty I would jump on this. Walt is a good guy and I hear he makes great bows. PLUS you help St. Jude's!

If you join our classifieds you will be covered, no worries. Montanas are a good solid workhorse but you can find used custom bows that will blow it away.

See if RMSG has any Poison Dart long bows in inventory but not sure if I've ever seen a Lefty but I bet Buddy could make you one.

I gave a kid a Prairie Predator. He will be shooting it until he is old enough to hunt deer. The hardest part is going to be convincing him to not shoot at deer over thirty yards away, when he has no trouble hitting his deer target at forty yards now.

I just reduced my thunderchild in the classified to $425.
Great little bow if you are looking for a compact high performace bow.
Very light and dead in the hand!

Maddog
7 Lakes
David Mitchell has a nice'un for sale right now in the classifieds. A LH Hill style. Handle is too small for my meathook. But it's a dang nice bow and having bought from David before, and from Mike Ballinger of 7 Lakes, and from Mike at Maddog, you can go wrong with any of the three.
And that's from a fellow po po.

Bud, thanks much for the plug, but the Northern Mist classic went out this morning.
