7 Lakes... with pics!

Received my 7 Lakes Recurve in the mail.... simply amazing! The finish and attention to detail are flawless... light in the hand, smooth on the draw, and quiet at release... a true pleasure to shoot! Mike Ballenger is a true American Craftsman!

I have a Carolina Nights longbow. Smoothest quietest bow I've ever shot and I have some really smooth and quiet bows! All you hear is the arrow swish.

PICS NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped by Mike's last week and talked about a Night Light youth bow with dual shelf.....I'll get with him later this fall about it.

I have his Carolina Night with thin limbs and steep sweeps. Straight large grip  ;)

Mike is tops. It's a wonder more folks don't look more closely at his bows. I think he stays pretty busy as is though.

Awesome!

  A little backstory;
I've been shooting recurves since the switch from compounds back in '05.  I learned how to shoot with a Ben Pearson recurve in '80, so that (a recurve) is what I went to when I dropped the compound.  Back to the present- Well, although I'd never shot one, I was looking for my first longbow...  I put the word out here, on TradGang, for a bowyer close to home, Chesapeake VA.  I was checking out the recommendations given, and while on Mike's website, I stumbled on his description of the "no-name" recurve... and the rest is history.  That said, I will be getting a longbow, from Mike!
