I called Dave to order a bow a month ago and he said he was backed up and would not be taking any more orders for about 8 months. I am not sure about the split bamboo bows, I was ordering another Old Tom. Glad to see Dave is busy, his bows are as good as it gets.

Mine has Tonkin cane bamboo. Dave said it is one of a kind.

I've seen and shot Ron's bow in person and it's a beauty for sure-even with the shelf on the incorrect side of the bow.    :p

I own two of David's split bamboo  bows, a 60 and a 50#.  They are works of art, and great shooters..   I just purchased the 50#. used since David stated he will not be making them due to a  discontinuance of his bamboo supply.

They are the best, in the hand, shooting hill bow made. They are slower, require diligence in handling and shooting like any self bow, don't leave 'em strung over night, over draw them, etc.. etc..  too bad bamboo is being used to make skewers and toothpicks, we could have some nice material to work with.
