Tom,  Kevin shot a dandy black the night before we left.  He did use one of those unmentionable weapons though due to his shoulder troubles.  But he was a happy boy.
Paul and I were actually the only guys shooting trad gear last week.

Really Great read and a very nice bear.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Congratulations! I love the color of the bear.  Way to regroup and put everything together.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Great job, on the story AND the bear!!! How did the blood trail look (besides REALLY short) using the Instinct?
