What is your favorite piece of First Lite gear and why?

I've got two pairs of pants, a vest, a sweater and two shirts. Don't ask me what the names are, they are stupid anyway. I used to really like the pants but they are getting a bit worn and devils club spines poke through them pretty easy now. They used to be able to turn cactus thorns too but not any more. The vest is kinda useless, to thin as is the sweater if you're sitting and it's cold out.  I like the shirts but not if it's hot out, I'll wear cotton.

Hmmm, I just reread what I wrote and it doesn't sound favorable.  First lite is good stuff but I'd like to see a heavier face on the pants and make them longer with deeper front pockets. If they are going to offer a sweater and a vest, make it thicker so it really does help fend off the cold.  And the shirts are fine. A big plus is you can get it in ASAT. I like ASAT and why I don't own KULU or Sitka, no ASAT.

Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

I just received my Kenab pants (Dry Earth color) from First Lite this past weekend. Very impressed by the quality and design. Liked them so much that I ordered the Chama ZQ medium weight top today.

I have the pants, sweater, and several of the pull over shirts. also the beanie and baclava and long underwear. All of it is pretty lite in weight and wish they made a heavier jacket type, in Texas last year it got pretty cold and I had to put my scent lok overalls over it all to stay warm and trust me none of it will stop cactus, still picking spines out of my coveralls and the spines went through everything including my skin,LOL. Stepped in a badger hole and fell in a pod of prickly pear, do not do that, LOL.

I have the sweater and that's it,the only complaint is I wish the sweater was heavier. If I would have know how lite it was I would not have ordered it. That said i did wear it a ton last year.

I have the Chama and Labrodor. I wear these for early season, only. I personally do not find merino wool to be warm.
For me the Chama is a little scrathcy, but I can live with it. It also has stretch out considerably since purchase. Like others have stated, the Labrodor sweather is pretty light.
I really do like both items, esp early season. I wore the Chama for 7 days straight (no showers), and the garmet did not stink at all.
If you are looking for warmth, I recommand a medium weight polartec top (patagonia, marmot, ll bean make good ones), for base layer with Sitka Traverse over top. Very warm combo.

I have the base layers. I can't remember the names.
The only thing I don't care for is that they just get mysterious holes in them. Both of them. Which I guess happens to wool. I don't know. I like it otherwise
