I have had several of different models. Have also tried many other high-end bows.  My go-to bow is a PSAX.  I like how I can get away with shooting a shorter bow with no loss on accuracy.  IMO there are some great bows out there today.  But none better than a BW.  Great customer service too.  I agree that it is probably best to be patient and find what you want used.

I love my PSA X. Toby and Roger are great to deal with. Black Widow builds a lot of bows and there are usually a few in the classifieds. They are the "Harley Davidson" of trad bows.

Simple answer, yes... They are worth the money. Great bows, great company, and even better people... If you don't have the cash for new, find a used one.

I bought my first Widow in either 89 or 90 for the outrageous price of $390.00  I could sell it today for a profit , my only mistake I didn't buy 2 ! And lately it's been my go-to bow again .

I'm not like many folks on here... having bow COLLECTIONS. Wish I could afford to, but I can't.

I've had several very nice bows including some new custom bows. Had a BW PSA and then caught the longbow bug... but I'm back to stay (as far as I'm concerned at this point anyway) with a BW.

I've had 4 different ones over the years, two different SAs a TF3 and an old Rosewood Wilson Bros 62" 1 pc. All bought used.

They are good solid bows that are easy to shoot accurately, good resale value and customer service.

Being a longbow guy, I sold all of em. To me they wouldn't be worth it to me to buy new. JMO

I'm sure I'll hear it about this though,I think they are all loud. I'm really fussy about noise and to me the only way I could get them hunting quiet was with a B-50 string, which to me negates the value of the bow.

That being said, someday I'd like to shoot a PL or PSR.

I don't own one, but I shot a bunch of them at their clinic last spring and I am confident I will own one at some point.  They were great shooting bows and the folks there were just genuinely good people that I'd share a hunting camp with in a heartbeat.

i have 3 BW recurves currently,2 PSA's and a PAX all 60" and with asbell grips and very close in weight. I have owned several other brands going through the search for a perfect bow for me.. i have found that for me any way a PSA is probably a perfect hunting recurve, it can be easily be made whisper quiet, is bomb proof, has a excellent feeling draw and performance, all the while backed by the best customer service i have ever seen in any company..and as stated earlier, they are putting out some very beautiful bows..
i have owned several BW longbows as well but have pretty well resigned my self to hunting with a recurve.. i just shoot em better. for me anyway my searching for a better bow is pretty well done, ive found it..
but we are all diffrent and like diffrent things in a bow,

I recently received my new PCH II and it shoots great!  58", 47@28, draws back smoothly and very easy to tune and shoot.  505 grain carbon express 150 with 175 grain tip fly great bareshaft and even better with feathers.  I would recommend BW bows.  Mine has a low grip tillered 3-under.

Good luck.

They are one of the best bows ever made. I prefer the MA model.

I've been tallying up the bows I have owned over the years, currently 66 to my recollection.I have 2 Widows, a PSA X and a KB II. They are the finest shooting bows I've ever owned, and I've had some of the best.I happened to buy mine used at very discounted prices but looking back knowing what I know now, if I'd have bought them new I'd be money way ahead had I not bought all those other bows. But it was fun trying them all:)

Black Widows are the cats meow! They shoot great, are super smooth drawing, quiet, and look great too. Plus Toby, Roger, and John are top notch guys willing to help out in any way possible.
