Victory V Force HV 350 or 300?
« on: June 25, 2014, 02:05:00 PM »
Anyone shooting these shafts out of a 60# R/D longbow?  What is your set-up?  I want to try these shafts but not sure if the 350 spine is going to be enough or if I should jump to the 300.  I'm looking for about a 30% FOC.

My current set up is 60# @ 28". 27.5-28" draw.  The arrows I shoot now are CE 350, 29.3 BOP, 100gr insert and 250 gr. point = 720 grains and and FOC of 23%.  Yes, they shoot great but I am a tinkerer and always trying to improve my set up.

Any opinions from those who have used them would be appreciated.

Pete, I use these shafts, I can shoot the 350's out of 56#
@ 29" bow, about 400 gr. up front, 30+ FOC, Killed several
African animals with this set up, flies like a dart, team them up
With a Grizzly BH. Can't be beat.
I think with your shorter Draw, you should be able to shoot
The 350's as well, even with a little more poundage. You will love the penetration!!!!

I'm shooting the .300's (bows cut past center) quite a bit.  Also have some .350's and .400's I shoot out of some of my bows cut a little further from center.

What I'm doing with the VForce HV's is adding a 100 gr. insert and then putting all the way up to 315 gr tips on.  This gives an an extremely high FOC.

I can shoot .300's with 100 gr inserts and 300-315 gr inserts in several of my bows.  These arrows penetrate like crazy.
