Pitching in at deer camp is part of the whole process in my opinion.  Shrewhaven Lodge started in a borrowed cabin. Now there is "our" own cabin down on the creek that has been remodeled and improved. After the official name was given to camp, one of my buddies and I had a sign carved from cedar with "Shrewhaven Lodge" on it that resides on the outside wall of the cabin. Ron LaClair is the owner of the camp, but the other five of us make sure that we pitch in financially and with our backs to make a place that is special for us all.

Enjoy your camp. I hope it prospers to the level of what started out for me over 15 years ago.

If Jason's snoring keeps us up I say we give him a visit from a friendly snake.  I am sure I can wrangel up a few before heading up there.  I say if we let one of those babies crawl down inside his sleeping bag with him I dont think he would sleep the rest of the trip!!

I dont have anything that I can think of that I am looking to get rid of.  I will do some looking and see what I can come up with.

Drew: That's a classy touch. I'm sure your friends will be glad you are part of their tradition. I'm envious.
Here in Oregon, our first season closed Sunday. Didn't get out as it was so dry and hot. Second season opens in November.

I don't have much traditional stuff either for a trading blanket...unless JB wants to give up those aluminum stump shooting arrows I was going to give him? and those even those need to be refletched.

Thanks for all the complements on the sign!
