I picked up one of the bracers from 3Rivers, which was VERY well made but they sent the wrong arm. My wife shoots opposite of me, and she then tries on said armguard and acquires it. I am fine with this, I need to post pics of her with her new bow. But it missed the area that I worry about most, even with its extra length.
Because of Marfan syndrome (the same one the basketball player was diagnosed with) my arms are inordinately long and I have a well-developed spur on my elbows. This gets in the way of the string on my hornbow and gets hit with the string in about every other shot. My wrist gets hit every single shot. My form is as I was always taught, and I had this issue before. But now my skin breaks when hit, instead of minor bruising. I've got serious cuts from fletching as well, so an all-in-one bracer/glove would probably work best, but is 3Rivers the only choice? I'd like something a little tougher/thicker.
If I just have to make my own, tell me and I'll figure it out. It would just be easier if there was an off-the-shelf solution I don't know about.
