Big River 21st century bows
« on: July 02, 2014, 09:55:00 PM »
All you Big River cult members I have some questions.

Are the 21st century clones cut to center? Can they be?

Is there a standard grip or different options?

What lengths is it available in?

Also post pictures!!!

I have one and believe it is cut to center, it is an R/D style bow.  I know for sure 60 and 62".  Mine started at 62 but was cut downto 60 to get the poundage I wanted.  Handle is a fairly straight one with a slight locator grip.  Don't know if John will make a custom grip.  Ask.

There are several post with pics just search.

Scott,  No, they're not cut to center, at least mine have not been.  As close as I can measure about +1/8th.  John will make any grip you want - it's a custom bow after all.  Both of mine have a straight grip.  As far as length - his modified Century 21 design is ideally 66" but he makes them in many sizes.  Just call and talk to him.

Thanks all. I placed an order for a black phenolic riser and bamboo with black glass limbs. Named dark horse.

Now the waiting begins...

You won't be disappointed.  I picked one up used at 43# a while back and it is my favorite bow to shoot.  I am currently looking for another at around 50#.

Hey Scott, mine are not cut to center.  I prefer a  locator grip on mine.

A big River won the Traditional class at the local 3D shoot last weekend.

I agree with Pete, Talk with John and see what he recommends or can do.  He is an incredible craftsman and Bowyer.

Then show us Cult people your bow!!!   :bigsmyl:
