Dennis,
Rob just doesn't want the truth to be out there for everyone to know!!

I would give James a call. He can point you in a good direction, (minus his core choice)
His DAM core is amazing, you should ask him about it

I'm twisting Mr. Berry's arm on the red elm, but I haven't yet decided. Looking for something different than bamboo, but how do you argue with Mr. Berry? I trust his judgement and am leaning toward his boo recommendation. I really want red elm though, so I may dig my heals in. LOL.

You can trust him on ALOT, the boo....... I think the high altitude he plays in has taken a toll on his thinking there

Word is that James' particle board cores are the next big thing.

Boo rules, just saying

Also the blood wood dam core in my bow is the best part about it! I love it!

Pat- Quiet please!!! I'm trying my best to keep the lid on James' particle board limb. If word gets out, everybody will want some of it. Even Brian will forsake his red elm cause that PB stuff is gonna blow the specs off all the other woods.

I have been wondering very seriously about a yew cored Northstar.  Maybe with a strip of blond bamboo in the middle.  I am not sure if it would have that spunky cast that I have gotten used to.

Is there a reason no one mentioned the wait time.

Cause the wait is worth it  :)

I have about a year on my current wait and when James gets to me I probably still won't know what I want exactly, like a kid in a candy store!

Even though the older one gets, the more the wait time matters, my real reason for not having a Berry collection like some of you guys is the Morningstar that I already have.  I know it is suppose to be slower with  reversed riser and my less than 27" draw, but it is not.  It is the only lefthand bow that I want to shoot, I do not think that adding more bows will change that.

I agree Pavan.  My morningstar is the bow in my hand 90% of the time.

How's that grip working out??

How does it shoot??

Is the grip straight or is there a slight dish? I can't clearly tell.

It's really a great bow Bud. It's a straight grip, 1" wide and 2 3/16" deep with the leather. I wanted it to have the ALS look when braced so no Berry tip overlays. James put 2 wedges in each tip. It's 52#@28" and I can shoot bare shaft 29" 2215's and 2117's like darts. Very smooth draw. I'm using a brace height of 6.5'

If I have him build me one I'll use yours as an example. I'd want 2 1/4" deep. My gosh what a nice looking bow. Your shelf is on the wrong side for me though. Thanks. I think I'm in trouble. Again.

Hmmmmmm I just came up with a really good way to make some extra cash.I have coffee at Jame's every morning and is order book is sitting right there in front of me. Now for a low low price of $50 I can rearrange that order book where you will be getting that beautiful bow in 3 weeks. He would never know the difference. So start sending those $50 dollar bills guys.      :biglaugh:
