good website, might get some beetles again.

the beetles get to all those little places that are hard to get the meat out of even if boiling. I just think comparing the different ways and I have done it just about anyway you can imagine, the beetles give best end result. You still have to degrease and whiten but they do the hard work.

Power wash then put on the shed roof until it looks good.  EASY!

I boil mine out, then soak in a mixture of water and 50% peroxide. You can get the peroxide from the local beauty supply store, but don't tell the little teenage girl behind the counter what you're using it for.

Been there, done that, it wasn't pretty.  :scared:

I bought a big bag of sal soda last year, but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I hear it works great though.

I usually used the old clean off as much as you can then throw it on the shed roof (far from the house as possible) method like dakota tim mentioned above.lol

R.W. and J dog, I think the word you were both thinking of is alkaline(or base). Caustic refers to a substance being corrosive which both strong alkalines  and acids can be. And you're right about mixing them. If you mix bleach (alkaline) with an acid you get deadly chlorine gas. If you mix an extreme (high PH) alkaline with an extreme (low PH) acid they can even be explosive.    :scared:
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Goodbye Shiner you were always a good dog.

GReat day in the mornin! there are some chemist up in here!!! LOL

Just stay away from mixing any chemicals and dont dip your skull in clorox. whatever it is it will eat it ip make it brittle and flaky looking (bad results).

Seen people eat their lungs out mixing household cleaners. Cant remember if the doc said it was a chlorine gas the guy made or a mustard or something else?? to do that kinda damage? anyway laying in bathtub dead, No SCBAs to get hi out although we wouldn't have even gone in if we would have realized the circumstances.
