Need help choosing arrow spine!!!

Hi everyone! I am new to traditional archery and need help choosing the right carbon arrow spine and point/broadhead grain weight. I have a 40#@28in recurve and draw 29.5 in. I will be using this for hunting deer and turkey this fall. I understand the importance of arrow tuning but I'm just hoping to narrow down my choices before I start spending money on arrows.

I'd start with a .500 spine carbon and a point weight test kit. You should be able to find something that works well

.600 carbon Easton St. Epic works very well. I cut mine 29" with standard insert and 125 grain tip and use with 41# up to 50# with flat shooting results.
.400 spine would work, but I use a 100 grain brass insert and heavier head to weaken the spine.(cutting them longer would help also).
Have fun!

Sorry for the double post above.
I meant .500 spine on the heavier set up. 400's would be pretty stiff for 40#'s.
