Weight and spine on woods

How much tip weight would change the spine on wood shafts

+25gr would weaken by 5# of spine weight.

For me, higher spines, 75+, seemed to be affected less, but in the 50-70 range I found about 5-6 gr equaled a pound of spine.  That is right in line with Pat and Bjorn.

According to ACE Archery, if the point is more than 125 gr. add 1# of spine for each additional 7 grains of head weight.
