Wider throated nocks for 1816 and 1916 shafts?????
« on: July 30, 2014, 08:05:00 PM »
Do any of you know of nicks for these light weight aluminum that are close the the same throat width ad Bohning Classic nocks?

The Bohning Classic nicks fit my servings perfectly.  The aluminums have what are called X or Z nocks (can't remember which at the moment), and, fit way too tight to suit me.

Any help with wider throated nocks for these 1816 & 1916 shafts appreciated.   I loathe having to modify nocks for a good fit!

Many thanks, Skychief.

If your 1816 and 1916 have a uni-bushing they take a X-nock.You don't have many choices for this size nock. You of course have the Easton X-nock.Bohning's replacememt nock is a Bohning A-nock.The A-nock has a slightly larger throat then the Easton X-nock but I don't think it is as wide as a Bohning Classic. Those are the only two nocks available for a X-bushing 1816 and 1916 that I've seen.

There used to be an item out called a "Nock Adaptor" that was used for making a unswaged aluminumn arrow into a swaged end . This turned the arrow into a glue on nock arrow. I can not seem to locate with any of the archery warehouses, the last time I purchased any was on fleabay.

Maybe someone here has some ???

What about 1816 and 1916 swaged nock ends, then purchase 5/16 Bohning Classics for the shafts. I'm not sure if Classics come in 9/32.
