Anyone use the calculator with a Toelke Whip HS?  What bow do you put in?

I am shooting a 60"  50# @ 28" Whip HS.  I am looking to expand my arrow options.

What are you shooting with this setup?

Are you drawing 28"?

I have used the "generic" longbow to figure arrow combos for over a dozen Whips. If you send me your contact, I can email you some combos that have worked well for me.

Doing good Mr. Billy.  I'm pulling 53#s as good as ever.  Now if I can get on a deer in the jungle we hunt.

I would call Dan. He will help you. The calculator gave me an arrow that would have been way too stiff. Dan explained to me how the whips limbs load and said this makes a tremendous difference in arrow choice. Told me to throw the calculations out when it comes to his bows.  He was correct ordered arrows that the calculator said were not right and they fly perfect.

What does the HS stand for if you don't mind me asking?  Saw it on the web site and it peaked my curiosity.

The HS stands for high speed. Dan started making the HS models in late 2012 I believe he told me.
I've been watching the classifieds for one myself. I need a 62" HS 50# or little less.

I mentioned I like to shoot Gold Tip traditionals.    The Whip HS i shoot is a 60"  50# @ 28" .  My draw length is 27".  

He recommended 35/55  29 1/2" with a 150 gr point.  

The HS is a designation from the older Whips.  Whips 60" and under went through some changes as Dan was not satisfied with their performance.  The 62" and above did not change.  So, the HS stands for High Speed.  

If you desire to shoot a longbow but are concerned about the negative things you have heard about longbows.  If you want to shoot a light longbow with a thumb index that is FAST, QUIET and DEAD in the hand.  Then you owe it to yourself to look at a Whip HS.  It is a pleasure to shoot and you will not be disappointed.  

He also makes a Super D that is very good.  Awbowman swears by it.  I think Fred has two.

I was looking at other arrow set ups to expand my options.

I recently picked up a Whip Classic 62" 47@28 and am using a bee man ICS Hunter 500 spine full length with 200 up front.  They fly very well.

That sounds right.  I shoot whips that are low 50s at my 29" draw and i shoot 30.5" 55/75s with 175 or so up front.

Thanks for the info guys. Will have to check one out in the 64". Was worried about the arrow specs.  I have a 64" Lynx that's 45# @ 28, and I draw it to 30.5".  I'm shooting full length GT 7595's with 200 up front.   They bare shafted perfect for me. Does that sound close?
