A Self Nock Question

Those of you who shoot self nocked arrows.  Do you lose many arrows to hits by following shots breaking the nock?  Have thought about doing them but worried about arrow longevity since my plastic nocks often end up broken by hits from subsequent shots.

For some reason, I haven't busted any self nocked shafts that way, but I have broken several plastic nocks. Maybe I'm just not as good with self nocks   .

I have a few arrows Ive done that way. I wont shoot more than one at a time at the same spot. So far, so good.

Only shoot at the other guys nock, not your own. Groups make you feel good but as you point out can be very destructive with self nock arrows. Gives you good reason to make more.

I busted one the first day I shot with them, so I just shoot one at each target also.  I bought a jig for making them from Ted at Raptor Archery.  I make self nocks in the winter when hunting season is over.  I enjoy it, and they look great.

They are quite strong when reinforced.  These have walnut insert and a small brass tack as an indicator for withdrawing from a back quiver without looking.

They are a PITA to repair. If you shoot that well, I'd advise one per spot when you shoot them.

This is one of my selfnock cane arrows that got struck by another arrow. This one had a sinew wrap.
 I rarely shoot groups because of arrow damage but also having other arrows in the target distracts my concentration.
