Cedar spine help

I'm new to the sport, and have found this website to be a great help thus far.  I was hoping someone could put me in the ballpark for cedar arrows.  I shoot a 60" Bear Super Kodiak, FF, 50# @ 28".  Would you recommend 125 or 145 grains up front?  I have been shooting 45-50(with 125 grain Eclipse) from Kustom King, and they fly ok, but definitely underspined.  I would appreciate any help, and once again, thanks for this great resource.

I shoot a 50# longbow at 28" and use 50-55, they work great for me. I also use 125 gr field points and heads. You can also order from 3 rivers if your interested a test kit, were you can order 3 differant spined arrows so you can see what works best for your bow. Good luck.

If you are drawing 28, I'd want a 65-70 for that bow with arrows cut around 29.  The 125, 145 or frankly both should work well for you I'd think.  If your draw is greater or less than 28" you may have to tweak that up or down a bit.

I would use 50-55 and use the Eclipes

You may be able to use your current arrows. Just build out your sideplate a little with a piece of leather or something, and that will straighten those underspined arrows right out.

I think the 50-55's would work just fine. You could probably get by with the heavier spine because your bow is cut to center, but I doubt they are necessary. I get great arrow flight with 50-55's in my Kota, my Mahaska longbow and my Bear Black bear. These are very different bows, but the arrows fly just fine from all three.

Slowbow has it right.  Your bow is centgershot, which means you can easily overspine by 10-20#, and it won't make any difference whether you use 125 or 145 grain heads.

im with slobow.... assuming you are actually drawing 28"...centershot and fastflight should be able to shoot them 65-70s nicely
