I'm all done
« on: September 25, 2007, 08:59:00 PM »
Buying bows that is. With the addition of this sweet shooter, I do believe that all my needs are now met.  :D  It's a harsh statement I know, but one that I'm pretty sure will hold true...for the time being anyhow   :saywhat:      :saywhat:

oh yeah..forgot about still wanting to buy that Dakota back..lol. Ya know I did find it, but for some strange reason the guy didn't want to part with it...

The bow above is a double carbon Centaur, 58" 46lbs at 28". midnight ebony and bubinga riser with a canebrake skin split down the middle. And oh baby does it shoot !  :jumper:

I like the looks of the centaurs but i'm kinda skittish around 'em now, because I recently had a friend's double carbon blow up in my hands.

Incredible!  Can you tell us about the grip?  I like my Fedora Jr. because it helps me keep a consistent grip. It looks like this might do the same.

This one has a very thin layer of black glass over the carbon on the belly, that's how Jim is making them now, it's my understanding that carbon doesn't always do so good under compression, and the glass cures that issue. Although I've had three other dbl carbons and never had a problem.

there's no thumb rest on this one, but Jim will build them with one if you want, he asks for a trace of your hand, which really helps with nailing the grip and finger grooves.

Larry, the D/C looks sweet. Hey guys, I've also had 3 D/C's and I've not shot anything that is as smooth, quick and shock free as Jim's D/C's.   Jr.
