Theft, TradGang and the gentlemen of the sport...
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:27:00 PM »
G'day guys,

Well some time ago I posted up a thread on some unsavoury events that took place in my life. Here is the thread if you missed it and to keep on topic as such...

  http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=138628;p=1#000000

I started off that thread as I was very much still in shock at losing all things that meant a great deal to me and not to mention the amount of gear I was now looking at replacing.

You know how it is when we've been in archery and bowhunting for decades and the things we try out, be it BHs, different fletching colours and shapes and even arrow shaft selection.... Us archers tend to collect things over the years. Also having two kids who are now teens I also lost all the nocks, points etc form their days shooting bows and I'll need to restock those things now also as my new partner in life has a 5 year old boy who yes, you guessed it is drawn to the bow like the rest of us.

When posting that thread I was mealy venting at all the loss and the cheated feeling that I had been left with. You see I was raised by my grandparents from the young age of 8 and that up bringing is of the old school standards for want of better words. So if you didn't have something you never ever asked... Simply you went with out until you could make whatever happen.

So that and other values have shaped my life. One works hard, dreams big and in the process conduct yourself in a high manor and treat those how you wish to be treated.

I held back from accepting the offers people made in the thread and also via PM and I was not asking... What was done is done and it what it is. But a PM from Danny telling me that people want to help out made me lower the walls we all build up and I accepted the kind offers.

So today I picked this up from the post office...

Inside were a number of items, from BHs to fletching, nocks, a glove and even a small box to store blunts and field points in.

I was really surprised at the quality of BHs sent as I know these guys would have paid good money over the years. Oh and the benchmade folder is mine guys.

I really like these heads, are they VPAS's ?

To all the fine gentlemen of TradGang who sent these items to Danny in order for him to post down to me I really do appreciate it tenfold. It never ceases to amazie me at the open generosity that is displayed here... It's a true testament not only to the members of TradGang but hunters, archers and outdoorsman.

Again guys... Thanks. I'll put to good use everything.

A very humbled ak in Aussie.

Did you get the aluminum adapters I sent with the Snuffers?...if not, I'll send them out tomorrow if you give me an address.  Just wanted to make sure they made it with the heads to Danny.

Now get your gear ready and go hunting!!!    :campfire:

Those guys around here know how to share what they have!  I know I have received more than my fare share of hand outs on here.

Majority of the items I received were while expecting to pay.

Thank you from me as well, Fellas.
