My new Berry hunting bow
« on: September 06, 2014, 07:12:00 AM »
I just picked up my JD Berry Taipan.  It's 64" long, 46# at 28", black glass on the back and white on the belly.  I'm not sure of the wood used, but it looks awesome.  These pics don't do it justice.  James is an artist, as many of you already know.

I only shot it a couple times, and I still need to get the right arrow dialed in.  It draws smooth, has no hand shock, and really zips an arrow.  Thank you James for building me such a nice longbow!

Now that has got me stoked!!! Awesome looking bow. My taipan is my go to everything bow. The perfect bow in my world!!!

I'm coming up on another build and I finally decided on the model. Another Taipan. I'm gonna go white back and belly, black walnut cores, berry nocks and the rest is up to James

Gorgeous bow!  James is an incredible bowyer with awesome craftsmanship in every bow he builds.  I just talked with him yesterday, and he mentioned he had just sent this bow to you.  I am on his list, and can't wait to be up next in the queue.

Ron, spot on brother! The riser is black walnut by the looks. You start shooting that longbow well, you won't want to shoot your recurve anymore. LOL Very, very nice Ron.....congrats!

Wood shoots so nice out of a long bow, you might want to consider it.   :goldtooth:
