Congrats Jim, a well thought out tracking Job surely was the result of recovering that deer.
That is a big ole Gal.
Seems like every time your pants come down you see deer

I wonder if the water does something to them? My brother saw two sparing in knee deep water in Ohio yesterday.

Good work, Jim.
All's well that ends well.
Any chance you might give us a pic of a re-enactment of your shot sequence on that doe?

We have had an all day rain and it is forecast to continue to rain for the next 36 hours.
Looking forward to seeing the pond level
The Diversion stand will now be called the "Pants down " stand.

I didn't go out this am. it is a monsoon here. If it was colder it would be a blizzard. We sat on the deck with coffee in hand watching the sheets of rain move through the valley.
Four Golden Eagles graced our vigil . They were frolicking on the wind currents lower than the tree tops along the top of the CRP above the house.
I told our cats to keep their eyes on the sky today while they are out hunting.
