Here's my backyard. Seat is now about 15 yards from bag target. Arrows go in 4"drain tile tube if I'm sitting.

On tree limb by the bag I wrapped either a pool noodle or pipe insulation to hang my Tmimberhawk bow.
If I miss bag, I go searching the wooded area behind the bag. I own 1.6 acres and have nothing behind the bag for a looong way.

Great looking bow rack. Could you tell us the size and lengths of the PVC? I know many would be interested in making a rack like that one. I sure would. Thanks

gonetocamp,

Sorry for the delayed reply. Here are the parts needed for each section...

TOP: (Glue Together)

4 - 12"x1" PVC
1 - 30"x1" PVC
4 - 90 degree elbows
2 - Tees

Bottom: (Glue Together)

4 - 14"x1" PVC
1 - 7.5"x1" PVC
4 - 2"x1" PVC
4 - 90 degree elbows
2 - Tees
4 - 45 degree elbows

LEGS: (Glue each)

4 - 6"x1" PVC
4 - 28"x1" PVC
4 - Tees

QUIVERS: (Glue each)

4 - 12"x2" PVC
4 - 7"x2" PVC
4 - 2" PVC
4 - Caps 2"
4 - 1"-2" Tee Adapters

PADDING:

1 - Tube of gray pipe insulation foam.

Once each section is glued up, you can assemble (I would, and did, dry assemble of all pieces before gluing anything up).

Once it's all together, I just Krylon'd the whole thing and can take it down when needed. If you get really crazy, you can make little quivers for water bottles on the outside, Just use CROSS joints instead of Tees there and buy a little more 2" pipe, 4 more 1"-2" converters and 4 caps.

For the top of the quivers, I asked the local hardware store if I could have the ends of the pipe they cut for me so there was a flare at the top of each quiver. Worked out Great!

Not including the paint, I think I paid around $65 for the PVC and foam since I didn't have any of it here already. If you know a plumber, you could probably get most of what you need from left overs at job sites and hardly spend anything on it but time.

Hope this helps and the possibilities are endless. As a matter of fact, this isn't exactly what it looked like in my drawing, but it's much more rigid now set up this way.

Now I have to get back outside and camo this thing to make the Wife happy.   :D

All the Best,

Stump

Steve,

If you just glue the sections together as the listed above, the legs will pull out from the top and bottom frames. The quivers are also removable from the legs.

As Mike said, the entire thing can be disassembled (depending on how tight the parts fit together) if none of the parts are glued... as a matter of fact, it may do that all by itself (Again, depending on how tight the parts fit together).    :biglaugh:

Hope this helps,

Mike
