Colorado Bear
« on: September 14, 2014, 07:24:00 PM »

Hunted for 8 days. Saw 4 bears and no elk.   Shot this one at 12 yards.  He only went about 40 yards after the shot.   Shooting a Black Widow longbow and STOS broadhead.  Now it is off to find the elk next week.    Jim

Nice job, and great stalking or sneaking to get that close to it.  Those are the kind of shots I like to take !

Good luck on finding them elk.

I was hunting from a treestand over a natural spring that is in a thicket of Serviceberry bushes, oak brush and aspen.  I put in about 50 hours over 8 days.  Saw 4 bears the largest of which spotted or winded me right off.  I had a smaller bear right under my treestand.   Jim
