My main bows have been strung for years. They sometimes get unstrung for maintenance and string replacement. Not recommending just answering.   :archer:

Always strung unless I'm tuning or if it'll sit in a hot car

I believe it all depends if you are still going hunting or shooting targets . If it is going to be more than a week I unstring mine.

Just my thoughts on the matter

Mine has been strung continuously for the past 6-7 yrs except to replace the string. This is of course with the manufacturers blessing. Not to be done with the vintage bows.

I try to shoot mine every day so it stays strung, I have seen some serious damage done when stringing and unstrung on a daily basis.....

Boy, this sure comes up a lot. The bows I shoot frequently , vintage or otherwise, stay strung - some for years. Always unstring when traveling in a hot vehicle. No right or wrong, just do what you're comfortable with.

I will leave mine strung for a few days at a time, ecspecially during hunting season. Most times, unstrung....saves space since I hang mine vertically.

I leave recurves strung all the time , the bowyers of them all say draw weight will not be lost  and the chance if bow damage stringing and un stringing is greatly reduced , I normally unstring longbows

Unstring longbows and you can leave your recurve strung if you shoot it ALL the time. If not daily, unstrung it!

Here is what Bob Morrison told me years ago. I don't mind whether a customer unsrings or not-both are right, and does not affect the warranty. If you leave it strung you can expect to lose 1# of draw weight; but it is not permanent. Anyway that's what Bob had to say.

I guess I operate under the old line that you can leave a recurve strung but a long bow needs to be unstrung.

My old dacron string Widow MA has been strung forever.  No limb twist and no loss of #'s at draw.  However, I keep my PL's unsrtung when not in use.
