Another new one from Maddog
« on: September 19, 2014, 06:13:00 PM »
Mike Made me a 3 piece takedown Prairie Predator.
This one has two sets of limbs, one 54" 50#@26" w/ walnut limbs. The other 56" 41#@26" w/ myrtle veneers. Limbs have sheep horn tips. The riser is olive wood, cocobolo, ziricote and a small piece of myrtle. I made a set of antler limb bolts for it.

Nice looking bow! I've always liked the looks of his one piece. That's the first three piece i've seen.

I'm really thinking my next longbow will be a Maddog. The mid-size one (I'm a smaller guy), looks good, gets great reviews, and priced right for me. Im still not a 3 piece fan, though that one sure looks good!

Man that's nice.  Mike looks like he does some killer little 3pc bows.  I may need to contact him someday when I'm in the market again.  Appears to be bang for the buck.

I've made some take downs, but they really aren't my game, I do better at making non-take down, 1 piece bows.  I like take down bows, just not my take down bows.
