Trying to catch a wize a$$ on camera( caught him)
« on: September 21, 2014, 08:50:00 PM »
I have a little shooting range set up behind the house in the woods out from the barn.  I have about 4 different deer 3d targets without antlers. It seems the antlers always came off, well I remember a few years ago one of my targets getting brutally attacked. I placed a food plot in part of the farm in which would bring the deer past my little range. Back during our NC state shoot, I bought a Reinhart Booner buck from Big Jim and set it up on the range.  From April til about 3 weeks ago, his antlers stayed set on his head fine. Now, every time I shoot, someone knocks his antlers off.  I took my reconyx camera and set a camera trap on my target today. I will post pics if I find the culprit.

My father called me one day and said "Why would you do that to my target" and "can I have the antlers back"

I told him I have no clue what he was talking about and he proceeded to tell me that his deer target was knocked down and broken into the three different parts and strewn all over his yard.  Our only theory was a buck came in and gave it hell at night.  I thought it was funny my father didn't.  LOL

What deer would attack a Booner buck. He has tine marks on his neck and the only deer I have on camera are really small so this guy must have some attitude. I got up this morning and looked, day one and the antlers are still on.

Does the crime scene look like this?

This is the best pic we have of the Culprit.

Funny part is my dad and little brother were having lunch not 100 yards away in plain view and missed the whole thing.

Looks like you need to set up a ground blind right in those trees.
