What are you looking to hunt?  The Bugskuffle Ranch in Southern Texas has exotics and hogs galore.  Brian and Debbie Keeling run the ranch and they are the best Hosts you will ever find.  Beautiful country also.

Best of luck.

PM 'robtattoo' (Rob Peel) he's one of your fellow Englishman by way of Tennessee whom I have hunted in Texas with before, he will have some insights and no doubt love to talk to a fellow tradhunter from the UK.

Where will you be in Texas when you are there.  Its a big state man.  England (Whales and Scotland) 32.22 milion acres, Texas (a state) 171,891,840 acres..... LOL,  just a little fun here.....

The Hill Country North of San Antonio has several ranches that offer exotics. This is basically where the exotic hunt trade started in the US.  I would look around Kerrville. Hogs are always on the menue where ever you go in the state.  If you want the big deal, Nilgai (Blue Bull), can be had on some of the big South Texas ranches but its not cheap...

This is all based on your time of year being April.  Also remember by that time of year from San Antonio South it could be in the upper 80's F or more.  Game will be playing the weather and be active early and late as the temps rise.

Graybark,The regular deer season will be closed in April but the good thing is it will be spring turkey season then.Exotics, hogs and varmints(coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, skunks etc.)can be hunted year round. If you will email me information as to the dates you want to hunt, how long you want to hunt and what game you are primary interested in hunting I might have something for you. Thanks Jay

Times before & says any exotics will be great hunting although he seems very interested in maybe a buffalo depending on cost ? I'll be flying in to dallas last week in april 2015 for 7 days .
