New Sponsor Give Away. WINNER CHOSEN
« on: September 29, 2014, 12:24:00 AM »
*Congratulations to Ray Lyon!*
Thank you to everyone for your submissions and making this such a fun thread!

Hi everyone!

I finally got my associate sponsorship, so I wanted to introduce myself with a giveaway.

As you can see, I'm a leather guy      :)      Armguards, quivers, journals, dog collars, you name it I'll make it, for a price      :D
Everything I sell is hand carved, and hand dyed by me. All sewing is done by hand as well, using a saddle stitch, which I believe, is superior to the standard lockstitch.

I'm not just here to sell stuff, I love talking leather, and I'm always learning, so feel free to just chat if you ever have questions or comments about my work, or something you're working on.

so, on to the giveaway...

This is how it's gonna work.

To be eligible, post your favorite archery related pic. It could be of you and an animal, or your kid shooting targets, it doesn't matter. Feel free to post more than one, but keep it reasonable.

I'll leave this up for a week or so, give or take. So, if I haven't announced a winner, jump in! I will pick a number at random. The post number that matches will win.

The prize will be your choice of the armguards in the following picture.
The ones that aren't chosen by the winner, will be up for sale in the classifieds, after the giveaway ends.

Here are some pics of them individually. Unfortunately, for some reason, I don't have a solo pic of the snake knot, but it is still an option.

Pictish Boar:

Pictish Stag:

[

Viking Mask:

Viking Horse

P.S. These aren't my designs. Most of what I do that isn't a custom order, are all taken from historical artifacts. Some from stone carvings, jewelry, armor, weapons, texts, etc.

Love those guards!  Congrats on the associate sponsorship! I just put in for mine as well.  Glad to see others taking the step forward this cycle.  Thanks for enriching this place with your craftwork.  I hope to do the same with my artwork as well.

Since you do dog collars and I'll be ordering one from you very soon. I'll post a picture of my favorite lost arrow finding/retrieving dog. Here he is bringing back a flu flu I sent into the woods after a little aerial practice.

Nice work.

My sons and I on a rabbit hunt last winter. This picture was at the beginning of the hunt, but it looked the same afterwards minus a few arrows.

How about a picture of the young man that got me started down the "trad path". It's my youngest son Liam shooting targets in tournament at Scarborough Renaissance Faire. He's almost 17 now and I've been looking up at him for the better part of a year. Obviously this was a few years ago  :)

Love my little munchkin.  She's older now, 19 months to be exact, and another 3-6 months maybe she'll be able to shoot that bow!

Great stuff so far guys!
The baby and the arrow dog take the cake so far...
Well, maybe I'm biased since I have a two year old and a three month old myself.

Thanks also for all the comments, I'm glad you guys like them.

Good turn out so far for less than 24 hours. Keep them coming  :)

This is my first trad-deer, and only so far!!!  It was also my first on a small chunk of land my wife and I bought!

The good old days... Now he's 15 y.o. and 2 inches taller than me... Hates the compound He needed when he was younger... But has laid claim to my 45# Whip.. But isn't ready to hunt with it yet... Somedays perfect some days miss the side of a barn from the inside... What can you do with a hormone riddled ADD Boy?

My next great hope.. cept she is cursed being right handed and left eye dominant, and the top shooter of the family!!! She is a heck of a 4H bb Gun shooter... She hasn't taken to bow very well...   I will fess we didn't realize she was left eye dominant yet trying to shoot righty... then shooting lefty felt wierd to her...)  Yet, I still have hope for her yet!!! As she is now 12 y.o.... She is Daddy's lil girl... she loves the outdoors and is hard headed like her Daddy!!!

I love your craftsmanship and am looking forward to seeing more of your work!!!
Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.
