Sorry, no hero or in the field shots. I was by myself, no head lamp or camera, and trying to figure out how I was going to get to work after getting her out of the woods. You'll have to deal with a messy garage pic.

Thanks guys! That's actually the exit from a quartering away shot. A little high, but it did the trick. She didn't make it 40yards.

Great to see fellow Michiganders in the woods with trad gear. Nice shot Pheonixarcher!

It's been a slow one for me so far with neighbors "stalking" their open bean field on the property lines, looking into the woods they do not have permission in. Ya gotta love seeing that!

I had a fun but slightly frustrating day. I saw a 4 point in the morning, and passed on 2 6 pointers in the evening....frustrating was that I mmmmmmmisssed a turkey. I absolutely HATE to miss.

I flew up here today from LA to visit family in Howell for the weekend. Wish I had time to do some hunting! Between the color change and the temps, it has me wanting to get in the woods.

Thanks all! She was pretty big. Being so warm on Wednesday, I wasn't sure if shooting one was a great idea, but as soon as she came in and offered me a great shot, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I was forced to pay for processing though, but it's a price I will gladly pay. Good luck everyone!
